Mzigu Pre & Primary School is a private-owned school that uses English Language as a medium of teaching, which has delivered exceptional education from Early Learning to class VII for more than 15 years.

Our Story
Mwanza being a corridor for transit services to Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Congo, in the last 15 years has attracted a number of investors increasing labour opportunities and economic developments. Her population has trebled in the period to around 2.8 million. The Political – Economic changes has also aspired investors to develop commercial projects. Apart from the opportunities the population increase is also contributed by social service problems and lack of ‘fast gain’ economic opportunities in rural areas.
The City expansion has created shortages of public services. To remedy the situation, City administration and the Public call the private sector to intervene. Mzigu Schools project was initiated to contribute to the needful. The project provides education to children, has a shopping center, offer office accommodation, hall for conferences and communication facilities.
Our Qualifications
Mzigu School is a fully registered private-owned primary school in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, with Registration Number EM 2811. We use English language as a medium of teaching, except for other language subjects like Kiswahili and French.
We encourage our pupils to harness their independence by using a contemporary learning structure. We believe that because each learner is different, their learning program should be flexible to meet each of their needs. We think beyond our front gates and offer global opportunities to our pupils, with access to up-to-date programs and curriculum.
Our Way of Life
Mzigu Schools offers both Day and Boarding school options to our pupils in all class levels.
Boarding scholars are provided with delicious meals and snacks, craft activities and homework supervision. This makes for a “home away from home” experience for our children. While in our premises, children are managed by a dedicated staff.
We also run a bus service for our day scholars, picking them from home to school every school day.
